Urgent Consultations: 

Please dial 999 if you are experiencing signs of a heart attack, signs of a stroke, severe difficulty breathing, heavy bleeding that won’t stop or have a severe injury

Please ensure that you telephone the Surgery before  10.30am if you have an urgent medical condition that will not wait until the following day.

 

Sick children will be seen as soon as possible.  If you are in any doubt about your child’s health, please telephone the surgery for advise.

If you need an urgent consultation because the problem won’t clinically wait until tomorrow, please telephone the surgery BEFORE 10.30am and be prepared to give the member of staff details of your symptoms.  A member of the practice team will return your call to triage as soon as possible.

If you are experiencing eye problems, in the first instance please contact a Monmouth Optician, who has superior equipment and facilities to treat acute conditions.

Booking a Consultation with a Doctor or Nurse:

You will be offered a consultation with the next available clinician.

However if you would prefer to wait for a consultation with a particular clinician, please mention this and we will give you their next available appointment.

We will always try to offer you an appointment to suit, however we do ask you to book appointments as far in advance as possible.

To limit the number of people in the surgery building you will, where appropriate, be asked to attend your appointment on your own.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
