Community Midwives

The Midwife has regular antenatal clinics at the surgery. She will look after mothers before and after delivery, and give advice on care of the newborn baby.

Her clinics are currently on a Wednesday morning, by appointment.  Please telephone reception for information.

Community Nurses

Our District Nurses are based at Monnowvale and provide nursing care at home for the long term sick, the acutely unwell and those who are housebound.

Health Visitors

A Health Visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

The Health Visitor runs a regular drop-in Baby Clinic and manages the Childhood Immunisation Programme.  This is currently held each Tuesday afternoon; please telephone for details.
